A Travel Bleg

Anyone out there amongst the readership who lives in or around the Jacksonville, FL area?

It appears that I will be coming into that fair city sometime in the next 7 to 10 days. The Queen and I are discussing making it into a little long weekend getaway. Perhaps there is a willing native who would be kind enough to give us the nickel tour?

      DFW, thanks for the offer. The Queen has already arranged accommodations for us at a friend of hers' condo. If something happens and that falls through, I will let you know for sure. I may PM you anyway to pick your brain about the Jacksonville area.

      Senior, yes, or so the recruiter says. I had a technical interview on Thursday via phone, and I guess I must have sounded like I know what I'm doing because the recruiter says they want to bring me in the flesh to check my teeth or something. I should know for sure by Monday afternoon if/when this is going to happen.

      Senior, interview went as well as I could expect. They have 3 other candidates to interview. Should here final decision in 2 to 3 weeks.

      DFW, I didn't send an email as I wound up either behind the wheel or without reliable Internet access for most of the trip. When I did have internet, I was jumping through the required HR hoops. Thanks again for the offer.
